Camping:

There are nine environmental campsites at various locations within the park. Be prepared to carry your equipment up to two miles. Each campsite has a table, food locker, running water, pit toilet, and barbecue unit. No wood fires allowed. Bring charcoal or a stove. Maximum of eight people per campsite.

Anchorage:

Boaters may overnight on buoys. Both slips and buoys are first-come, first-serve.

Boat Dock:

Dock slips of 30’ to 50’ length are open from 8:00 a.m. until sunset

Weddings:

The Post Chapel located at Fort McDowell is available for weddings. There are several other outdoor sites on the Island fitting for weddings and receptions. This site is located approximately 2 miles from the ferry dock. No ground transportation is available but charted ferries may dock.

  • Hill Site: 12 tables, BBQ, 35-70 people
  • Draw Site: 15 tables, BBQ, 35-100 people
  • Platform Site: 24 tables, BBQ, 100-150 people
  • East Garrison: 20 tables, BBQ, 200-1000 people

There is a large first-come, first-serve area with tables and barbecues located in the grassy area surrounding Ayala Cove, a short walk from the ferry dock.

Pay telephones, comfort stations, and drinking fountains are at various locations. Lockers are located near the ferry dock at Ayala Cove.
