Segway ToursTour Angel Island with spectacular views of the Golden Gate and San Francisco while riding on a Segway, a unique way to take in natural wonders and learn to ride a cutting-edge vehicle.The Segway is an electric, self-balancing, personal-transportation device designed to travel miles on a single electrical charge. It is one of the most noticed methods of movement in the 21st Century.

Professionally guided Segway tours will be available each day at Angel Island. This is the first such tour to operate in a California state park.We can accommodate small, intimate groups of up to eight on a fleet of Segway XTs.

We are able to accommodate larger groups, please contact our sales department to make special arrangements.

May 2008 - Wild Flower & Natural History Tour

See native and non native plants and wildflowers such as California Lilac and Pride of Madera. Native trees of the island include Coast Live Oak, Madrone, Bay/Laurel, Toyon and non native, Eucalyptus. Your guide will also tell the story of how the deer got to the island and the only species endemic to Angel Island, the Angel Island Mole. In addition you’ll view the best views of the bay! A $5 donation is made to the State Park which directly benefits the park programs and operations including interpretive staff, for every Wild Flower & Natural History Segway tour ticket sold.

June 2008 - Angel Island Military History Tour

Take a fascinating journey into Angel Island's Military History including Fort McDowell, the Guardhouse, Camp Reynolds and the Bake House. A $5 donation is made to the State Park which goes to the State Park to directly benefit park programs, operations including interpretive staff, and provides special access into Fort McDowell and Camp Reynolds with guides for every Military History Segway tour ticket sold.

July 2008 - Five Bridge Tour

Climb to the top of Mt. Livermore and discover the significance of Carolyn Livermore. Also, learn about the history of the five bay area bridges seen from the top of Mt. Livermore. This tour does involve some steep climbing and is categorized as a moderate to advanced hike.

All riders must be 16 years and older and sign a waiver of release. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the waiver.

Segways are provided by guided tour only. Privately owned Segways are not permitted on Angel Island.
