Tour Angel Island with spectacular views of the Golden Gate and San Francisco while riding on a Segway, a unique way to take in natural wonders and learn to ride a cutting-edge vehicle.The Segway is an electric, self-balancing, personal-transportation device designed to travel miles on a single electrical charge. It is one of the most noticed methods of movement in the 21st Century.
Professionally guided Segway tours will be available each day at Angel Island. This is the first such tour to operate in a California state park.
We can accommodate small, intimate groups of up to eight on a fleet of Segway XTs. The two hour historic, interpretive tour circles the island’s Perimeter Trail, which is about five miles long. It is a paved trail with plenty of room for Segways. This tour offers the best views of downtown San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco Bay,and waterfront community of Tiburon.

Segways are provided by guided tour only.
All riders must be 16 years or older and sign a waiver of release. If you are 16 or 17, a parent or guardian must sign the waiver. A rider must not be less than 100 lbs. or more than 260 lbs. A Segway is not an ideal mode of touring for people with mobility issues. All guests must be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without any assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without assistance or using a handrail. You must also be able to stand on the Segway for two hours. We are very sorry, but Segway riding is not permitted for pregnant women.
Whenever you ride a Segway, you risk death or serious injury from loss of control, collisions, and falls. All Segway riders must pass a training class and skills assessment to participate in the tour, at the full discretion of Angel Island Company.
